Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024

 

The Internal Hackathon for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 was held on 6th September 2024 at the MAIT campus, with a total of 201 teams participating under the guidance of SPOC, Prof. Namita Gupta. Three judges were called to evaluate the 93 shortlisted teams out of total 201 teams registered for Internal Hackathon.

Students were required to create presentations based on the SIH portal’s format and demonstrate a working prototype. Teams were evaluated based on idea innovation, the solutions provided for specific problem statements, and their ability to collaborate effectively as a team.

The event was honored by the presence of distinguished Judges:

Mr. Dhirendra Bansal, Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-Human Resource Development Group (CSIR-HRDG), New Delhi, with over 20 years of expertise in Energy Management and Instrumentation; Dr. Deepak Kikan, Associate Director at Ernst & Young (E&Y) for Global Managed Services; Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, with extensive experience in cloud platform development, Kubernetes platform engineering, SRE, and DevSecOps. Their valuable insights and experience added great value to the event.

The faculty coordinators—Ms. Garima Gupta, Dr. Ankita Gupta, Ms. Neetu Gupta, Ms. Karuna Middha, Ms. Divya Arora and Mr. Akshay Mool played an essential role in organizing the event and ensuring its success. Their dedication fostered a strong environment of innovation and collaboration, encouraging the students to push the boundaries of their creativity and problem-solving abilities.

At the end of the internal hackathon 50 teams were shortlisted and asked to submit solution for 2 PS as per the new guidelines.
