Event Overview:
The STACK’D DSA Bootcamp Orientation, organized by Google Developer Groups (GDG) MAIT, was conducted on February 5, 2026, at 7:00 PM via Google Meet. The event aimed to introduce students to the structured two-week Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) Bootcamp and provide them with a clear roadmap to strengthen their problem-solving abilities through consistent daily practice. The orientation received 167
registrations, with an active turnout of 95 participants.
The session was led by Madhav, DSA Mentor at GDG MAIT, who delivered an engaging and insightful introduction to the fundamentals and importance of DSA. Designed to be accessible to students at all levels, the session emphasized on structured learning, logical thinking, and consistent practice. Madhav addressed common student challenges such as fear of problem-solving, inconsistency, and lack of a clear roadmap, while explaining how the bootcamp’s daily problem-solving approach would help participants build strong foundations and confidence.
Participants were guided through the bootcamp structure, performance tracking, and the final Mega DSA Contest, which simulates real interview and competitive programming environments. The importance of analyzing time and space complexity, recognizing common problem patterns, and approaching problems systematically rather than relying solely on programming language knowledge was also highlighted.Participants were encouraged to actively engage in daily challenges, track their progress, and participate in the final contest to apply their learning in a competitive setting.
